The Super Junior Members Talk about Their Car Crash in 2007
The Super Junior members opened up about how they felt in one of the most dire moments of their careers: their big car crash in the year 2007.
The members Leeteuk, Siwon, Eunhyuk and Shindong talked on the September 12 broadcast of MBC′s Radio Star.
Choi Siwon started off by saying that one of the happiest moments in his career was when Kyuhyun recovered from the injuries from his accident and left the hospital.
At the time, Kyuhyun was unconscious for days even after he had been moved to the hospital, and his doctor had even said that it was possible he would never wake up again.
Leeteuk explained, "Shindong, Eunhyuk, Kyuhyun and I were in the car that crashed, and the accident happened because of carelessness on the part of our manager. I saw how the accident happened. When I woke up, the manager was screaming that he would commit suicide in the middle of the road, blaming himself for the accident, and I couldn′t see where Kyuhyun had gone."
Kyuhyun, present as the MC for the show, added, "At the time I thought ′so this is how it feels to die′ and my life passed before my eyes, so I prayed for forgiveness. I lost consciousness after my prayer, and when I woke up I was in the hospital. I woke up four days after I had been moved to the ICU."
Eunhyuk said he saw each member return to their home one by one. The members embraced each other and cheered for each other, and that was when the members became closer to each other.
