"Triumph In The Skies II" soars high

18 Jul – Although Francis Ng and Julian Cheung recently stated that ratings don't matter, the two TVB comeback stars still heaved a sigh of relief after hearing the "Triumph In The Skies II" premiere ratings.

As reported on Groove Asia, the drama, which premiered on 15 July, started off with a high rating of 32 points, peaking at 35, simultaneously knocking down "Inbound Troubles" from its throne as the TV ratings' leader of 2013.

Julian, who is on a vacation with his family in Singapore, stated, "I am so relieved. I know I tried my best. I've never portrayed this type of role before, so I was nervous while we were filming. Luckily the audience liked it. I hope this will be another classic character for me after Man Cho (his role in 2000's "Return of the Cuckoo")."

Co-star Fala Chen, who is currently taking a summer course in New York, happily expressed on Weibo, "I just heard about the good news that "Triumph In The Skies II" premiere ratings was awesome! I will return in August to help with the promotions!"

On the other hand, Francis Ng, who is in mainland China promoting for his new film, expressed over the phone, "Of course I'm happy with the high ratings. But we still have the possibility for the ratings dropping later. Such pressure! I'm already done with all the promotions for this series, but if they call me back for help or to watch the finale together, I will try my best to accommodate."
