TV scramble for Ueto Aya & EXILE Hiro's wedding

28 Jun – TV stations are already scrambling to get coverage rights for the most anticipated event of the year, the wedding of Japanese actress Ueto Aya and dance group EXILE's leader Hiro.

According to JpopAsia, TV stations are anxious to win exclusive coverage rights for the wedding and are prepared to make offers ranging from 500,000 million to a billion Yen (approximately SG$8,041 million to SG$15,962 million), even though the couple had denied any confirmed wedding dates when they announced their upcoming marriage earlier this year.

However, sources are saying that the couple is close to making the big announcement of their wedding date at the end of EXILE's tour, with Ueto said to be attending the final concert performance of the tour at Sapporo Dome on 1 July.

Meanwhile, 26-year-old Ueto was reportedly attending cooking classes for future wives, while their respective agencies have been in discussions with their advertisers and sponsors to ensure that their marriage proceeds smoothly.

Ueto and Hiro announced that they would be tying the knot sometime this year back in January, after they started dating in October 2010.
