TVB approaches Michael Tse again

8 Jul – Hong Kong actor Michael Tse, who has been focusing on his career in mainland China, recently revealed that he has been offered a role yet again by TVB for their new series.

According to Hong Kong's On CC News, the actor stated that the company has expressed their wish to cooperate with him once more after the commendable success of last year's "Sniper Standoff".

However, Michael stated that he will only consider a project if it deemed suitable.

"For me, the script and the role are the most important," said the actor, who revealed that he had just recently concluded filming a new mainland drama and is currently shooting a new movie directed by Ringo Lam.

Asked if the salary in mainland China is more attractive than what a Hong Kong production can offer, Michael positively replied, "I am paid in Renminbi (RMB) and it's definitely different. But the most significant part of it is that the system is improving and the mainland production companies really take good care of their artistes."

However, Michael said he hasn't made any plans to invest in the north, "I am still considered a newcomer in mainland China. I should spend more time making myself recognised first."
