Two more Go Young-wook assault victims

Two more Go Young-wook assault victims

18 May – Despite earlier reports stating that former Roo'ra member Go Young-wook has denied all allegations regarding a sexual assault of a minor, police revealed that they are currently investigating two more victims.

As reported on Chosunilbo website, in addition to the 18-year-old girl who reported an assault by Go, the Seoul Yongsan police said they are investigating two more victims – a 20-year-old female who claimed to have been raped by Go in 2010 with a promise to help her to get into show business, while the other says she has been subject to sexual abuse from Go since she was in middle school.

Police stated, "The two girls decided to file a complaint after Go denied the charges in the media."

Earlier this month, Go Young-wook was arrested for questioning after an 18-year-old female reported to the police stating that the TV personality sexually assaulted her on 30 March at his flat in Hannam-dong, Yongsan after promising her that he will make her a star. Go allegedly contacted her after he saw her on a cable channel reality show about aspiring models.

On 7 May, Go testified that he did not know that she was under 19, the effective age of consent. However, the police stated that they have testimony from the cable channel producer who gave Go the victim's phone number that he did in fact know her age in advance.
