"The Voice Of China" in Singapore

3 Jun – The Chinese reality talent show, "The Voice Of China", has opened its doors for Singaporeans to audition for the upcoming series of the show.

China Press reported that Zhejiang Satellite TV and Canxing Production, the TV programme producers of the show, has made Singapore's mm2 Entertainment as the sole authorised partner to conduct a series of auditions through various means. These include an open audition and closed-door auditions at selected music schools and record labels.

According to mm2 Entertainment's spokesperson, registration is now closed. Despite the overwhelming enquiries, they only received 200 demos from across the country.

mm2 Entertainment and StarHub had already selected the best 15 "voices" to be sent to the Chinese producers for further action. Shanghai-based Canxing Production will announce the finalists in the coming weeks.

Sources revealed that Ming Bridges, Tay Kexin and "Shuo" (Speak Mandarin Campaign's theme song) singer Tay Kewei among those who are in the final list.
