Wang Feng planned to propose to Zhang Ziyi

23 Jul – After two failed marriages, rumour has it that 43-year-old Chinese rock singer Wang Feng is ready to walk down the aisle again with his new lady love, Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi.

According to Phoenix News, a source recently claimed that Wang Feng had originally planned to propose to "The Grandmaster" star in public at his upcoming concert at Beijing Bird's Nest.

The insider alleged that Wang told friends that he wanted to pop the question to Zhang at the end of his concert in front of thousands of fans, but had to cancel it when actress Zhou Xun did the same thing last week when she married "CSI" actor, Archie Kao.

"Wang Feng wanted to marry Ziyi earlier, but she was busy with her projects. But after realising her peers, Gao Yuan Yuan, Zhou Xun and Tang Wei have all decided to tie the knot this year, she began to have a change of heart," said the source.

Nonetheless, the singer reportedly had to cancel his plans and find a new way to ask her to marry him, as he didn't want the plan to backfire and have people accusing him of copying Zhou Xun's public marriage announcement.

However, the actress recently turned to her Weibo to deny the rumours, saying that the reports were "funny".
