Wang Jing is first female celeb arrested for drugs

24 Dec – TV personality Wang Jing has become the first Chinese female celebrity to be arrested for suspicion of sheltering drug users.

According to Tencent Entertainment News, sources broke the news that the host of Travel Channel's programme, "Beautiful Bride", was arrested on 9 December and is currently in custody at the detention centre in Beijing's Fengtai District.

When asked to confirm the news, the producer of "Beautiful Bride" declined to comment, and simply replied, "Wang Jing has not recorded the programme for some time."

In another report, it was said that Wang was detained after the police raided her home and found her along with a man who had been taking drugs.

Both have been tested positive for drugs.
