Watanabe Mayu wishes to be #1
2 Aug - AKB48 member Watanabe Mayu wishes to be number one in the next Senbatsu election.
According to Tokyo Hive, Watanabe says she will be working hard to make her wish come true when she was promoting her latest solo single "Otona Jelly Beans" at a live house in Shibuya on 25 July.
"I made a wish to take number 1 in AKB48's General Elections if there is one next year. Wishes have to be big!" she said after painting the eyes of a giant daruma doll during the event.
Watanabe was voted second place during the 4th AKB48 general election that was held last month, with the top place given to Oshima Yuko.
She also wished that her latest single would also take the top spot in the Oricon charts.
