So-yeon speak up about Hwa-young's bullying

16 Aug - T-ARA member, So-yeon revealed the group's side of the story regarding Hwa-young's bullying controversy during the filming of her drama debut, "Haeundae Lovers"

According to Allkpop website, the singer stated that the issue went out of hand to the extent that she was too afraid of how people look at her that she can't go into the restaurant to eat during filming breaks.

When asked about the evidence of a possible bullying, So-yeon stated, "I saw the 'evidence' the Netizens uploaded online, and I understand how they perceived it if it was seen from that point of view."

"It is true that there were negative feelings towards Hwa-young during our Tokyo concert. When Hwa-young claimed she couldn't perform because of her leg, there was a fight between members while we were practicing. After the performance, we asked the President (CCM's CEO Kim Kwang-soo) to handle the issue and things escalated from there on."

The singer admitted that the group members did not expect that the agency would have sacked the rapper.

She added, "We were angry with the agency. We only asked for a solution to the conflict but the President told us, "Let's do this for Hwa-young's sake". We knew if she leaves this way, we were going to be blamed for it."

The T-ARA member also agreed that there are conflicts in the group but stressed that it is a normal thing for a girl group. She stated, "There are 7-8 teenage girls all staying together. Everybody wants to be famous and recognised, so it's impossible to have no conflicts at all. If you're asking if we had bad relationships because of that, then everyone in our group has bad relationships."

So-yeon plays the role of Gwan-soon in SBS' "Haeundae Lovers".
