ZE:A Rises to No. 2 on the Oricon Chart with ‘Phoenix’

ZE:A has set Japan on fire with its new single album Phoenix.

As soon as the Japanese version of Phoenix was released in Japan on August 24, it rose to the number two spot on the Oricon Chart, marking a successful start for upcoming promotions.

AKB48, which was at number one on the Oricon Daily Chart this day, sold only 500 copies more than ZE:A, proving that ZE:A also isn’t far from rising to number one once it officially launches its promotions.

Leader Moon Jun Young told enews through his agency Star Empire on August 25, “I hope the great results we got in Japan continue through our promotions in Korea. We were happy to learn that we gathered more fans with Aftermath, and we’ll repay our fans’ support with our new album Phoenix.”

ZE:A wrapped up a successful mini live concert on the day the single album was released with 1,000 Japanese fans, and will return to Korea on August 28 after meeting with more fans through three more mini concerts and fansignings in Tokyo. The group will then start promoting Phoenix in Korea.
