Zhang Ziyi says she cast Leehom Wang for friends
31 Aug – Chinese actress-turned-producer Zhang Ziyi revealed that she offered the role of leading man to Leehom Wang in her upcoming movie "My Lucky Star" due to her friends' requests.
As reported on CRI website, on 27 August, the actress, who attended the press conference for the release of the movie theme song's music video for in Beijing, was asked about her decision to collaborate with the handsome Taiwanese star.
Zhang quipped, "My female friends are so mesmerised by Leehom's charms that I think I have an obligation to work with him!"
On a more serious note, the actress stated that the singer was the perfect leading man because he is intelligent and talented in performing action scenes.
"And he can also play good music when needed," added Zhang.
"My Lucky Star" will be released in China on 17 September, 19 September in Singapore, and 10 October in Malaysia.
