Zhang Ziyi turns to the Internet to express happiness

16 Apr – Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi has been very discreet after winning Best Actress at the recently held Hong Kong Film Awards. Refusing backstage interviews and only speaking a few words to the media after the ceremony, she hurried out before the reporters were able to get her for a short interview.

However, according to Mingpao, the actress finally expressed her actual feelings to her fans via her Weibo account.

Posting a special message Zhang wrote, "Please believe me, that though you will fall sometimes, as long as you are still on the road, the people who travel with you will help you up and continue your journey. I am truly grateful."

When asked if she has any regrets despite winning the Best Actress accolade for the ninth time for her role as Gong Er in "The Grandmaster", Zhang replied, "There is no such thing as perfection in this world. I hope to have some regrets too."

She added that the only regret she had during the award ceremony is the fact that her co-star, Tony Leung did not win Best Actor.

"I learned from him that even without an award, an outstanding actor is still recognised," said Zhang.
